Darko announce new EP ‘Canvas’
DARKO have announced a new EP!
Titled Canvas, the upcoming EP from the Surrey-based hardcore punk band is the follow-up to last year’s Greyscale EP, and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Lockjaw Records.
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, DARKO have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; the title track Canvas.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Tom West says, “financial risks are becoming more dangerous for often thankless DIY promoters, the backbones of the communities we love. This song had a nice bouncy energy so I wanted to explore a theme of gratitude rather than the usual misanthropy. I also figured it’d be nice to take a moment in our live set to thank the person taking the gamble and putting us on. Running shows can be so stressful, but like us musicians, promoters do it for the love. It doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us over the years.”
