Dead Meadow sign with Heavy Psych Sounds

DEAD MEADOW have signed with Heavy Psych Sounds!

Since forming in 1998, the Washington, D.C.-based psychedelic rock band have become a firm favourite in the scene through the release of seven studio albums and countless live performances. Now, the band are taking the next step in their career through signing with Heavy Psych Sounds.

The label will release the band’s next studio album – the follow-up to 2022’s Force Form Free – in 2025. More information about the new album will be unveiled in due course.

Speaking about signing with Heavy Psych Sounds, frontman Jason Simon says, “we are happy to announce that an all-new DEAD MEADOW LP will be released early next year on the one and only Heavy Psych Sounds Records. Steve, Mark, and I had been working on this record throughout 2023, finishing and tracking the final songs in January of this year. We are excited and extremely thankful to have an entire record featuring Steve’s bass and creative influence to still share with the world.”

The team from Heavy Psych Sounds adds, “we are really honored to welcome such an incredible band to our roster. We touched base for the first time in 2021 with DEAD MEADOW bass player Steve and the feelings were great from the first moment. We were devastated when he passed away early this year. We decided to continue the work with Jason and we are sure this collaboration will be very fruitful.”
