Deadlands announce new EP ‘SEVEN’
DEADLANDS have announced a new EP!
Titled SEVEN, the upcoming EP from the New York City-based metalcore band is the follow-up to 2022’s Sentence Of Myself EP, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Spinefarm Records.
Speaking about the upcoming EP, vocalist Kasey Karlsen shares, “SEVEN explores the seven deadly sins, intricately woven into the fabric of a metalcore soundscape that resonates. Each track serves as a chilling personification of these ancient vices, inviting listeners into a world steeped in despair and moral decay. The goal is to hold a mirror to ourselves and deconstruct the things that breed evil in the soul.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, DEADLANDS have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Limbo. The new song is the latest single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from Kundalini, Villain, and House Of Cards.
Speaking about the new song, Karlsen says, “Limbo describes the story of falling in love with someone who is purely using you to satisfy their own desires. The purpose of this song is to focus on the destructive aspects of lust and how it can not only hurt someone else but also lead to self-destruction whether you’re the one with the feelings or not. We’ve all had the experience of wanting to hold onto something that feels so right, even when you know it could end badly.”
