Deaf Havana announce new album ‘We’re Never Getting Out’

DEAF HAVANA have announced a new album!

Titled We’re Never Getting Out, the upcoming album from the Norfolk-based alternative rock band is the follow-up to 2022’s The Present Is A Foreign Land, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via SO Recordings.

“I have always wanted to change myself,” vocalist James Veck-Gilodi explains. “But I’ve also never really owned up to and accepted my mistakes. I’ve just punished myself, told myself that I hated myself and ended up cosplaying as a completely different person instead. All it took was for me to take the best parts from everything I have done and apply them without actually trying to totally change who I am in the process. Maybe it’s my age or mindset, but I accept who I am now and feel I know how to make myself a good person.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Lawn Tennis. The new single is about not wanting “the normal life” just yet, with a trademark Veck-Gilodi tongue-in-cheek reference to “losing friends to a perfect lawn, like there’s nothing more to life”, for good measure.
