Defleshed announce new album ‘Grind Over Matter’

DEFLESHED have announced a new album!

Titled Grind Over Matter, the upcoming album from the Swedish thrash-meets-death metal band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s Reclaim The Beat, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via their new home at Metal Blade Records.

The upcoming album was tracked at Rorysound Studios, Uppsala, Sweden, with Lawrence Mackrory, with two weeks devoted to drums, another two for guitar and bass and two three-day sessions for vocals. Speaking about the recording process, vocalist/bassist Gustaf Jorde says, “it was pretty straightforward, the hardest part was to not get carried away by impulsive ideas too much, but stay put to the original plan.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track Grind Over Matter. Speaking about the new song, Jorde says, “we‘re excited to present the first song off our first album in 17 years: Grind Over Matter! Together with Lawrence Mackrory we‘ve worked hard to produce an audial bitch slap for all of us who need one from time to time. Enjoy the madness – fast forward to the front!”
