Delain announce new album ‘Dark Waters’
DELAIN have announced a new album!
Titled Dark Waters, the upcoming album from the Dutch symphonic metal band is the follow-up to 2020’s Apocalypse & Chill, and is scheduled to be released in February next year, via Napalm Records.
The upcoming album will be the first album to feature the reshaped lineup of the band, with new vocalist Diana Leah and bassist Ludovico Cioffi and returning guitarist Ronald Landa and original drummer Sander Zoer joining with band mastermind Martijn Westerhold.
Speaking about the upcoming album, band leader/keyboardist Martijn Westerholt says, “this album captures all elements DELAIN is known for – our distinctive heavy guitar riffs, massive orchestral parts, both heavy metal and pop vocals, rock opera vibes along with 80s synth sounds. In short, this is definitely a recognisable DELAIN album that contains classic ‘DELAIN elements’ while also moving forward with fresh influences.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Beneath. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from The Quest And The Curse, which was released back in August.
