Desert Storm announce new album ‘Sentinels’
DESERT STORM have announced a new album!
The upcoming new album, Sentinels, follows 2014’s Omniscient and is scheduled to be released in March this year. The upcoming album was recorded with engineer Jamie Dodd (ORANGE GOBLIN) at Flesh & Bone Studios, Hackney and tracked by Steve ‘Geezer’ Watkins at Woodworm Studios (which has also been used by legendary BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi). Speaking about the upcoming album, guitarist Ryan Cole says, “this album is a natural progression from our previous releases. It has the DESERT STORM sound, but has moved in a much harder, darker and heavier direction.” Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first single from the upcoming album; titled Too Far Gone. Speaking about the new track, vocalist Matt Ryan says, “it’s the paradox of hard liquor being both the cause and the remedy of the sickness. Self-destruction and punishment of the body. It’s inspired by the tragic tales of Bon Scott and John Bonham, along with fictional characters Ben Sanderson of Leaving Las Vegas and to a lesser extent, Jim Lahey of Trailer Park Boys. It’s a miserable outcome as our song begins with alcoholism and ends in death.”
