Disconnected Souls release new music video for ‘Symbiont’

DISCONNECTED SOULS have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Symbiont, is the brand new single from the UK cinematic metal band and is taken from their debut album, Fragments Of Consciousness, which was released back in January, via self-release.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Patrick Lloyd says, “Symbiont is a track we started during the creation of our Warring Elements EP, left to wayside for years before we decided to tackle it again. With our newfound experience, I feel we did the track justice. The idea behind Symbiont lyrically is two entities forced to work together for their own ends, bound in one body, inseparable. During the writing process, I played a character in a DnD campaign who was in a symbiotic relationship with a ghost possessing him, and that character’s journey inspired the lyrics.

Instrumentally, this track is a favourite of mine from the Fragments of Consciousness album – rife with soaring synths and crushing dubstep-infused breakdowns. We hope you enjoy the video; a grungy cellar shoot every metal band needs to film at some point – a rite of passage.”
