downcast announce new EP ‘WTF HAPPENED’

DOWNCAST have announced a new EP!

Titled WTF HAPPENED, the upcoming EP from the Bristol-based emo-pop-punk band is the follow-up to 2022’s debut album, i saw hell when i was with you, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via self-release.

Speaking about the upcoming new EP, frontman Liam Edwards shares, “our new EP is a collection of songs that reflect on the events of the past couple of years. It explores feelings of nostalgia, anger, romance and grief. The title is inspired by those moments where you look back at how simple and carefree your life used to be and wonder what happened.”

Alongside the announcement of the new EP, DOWNCAST have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming new EP; raincheck. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming new EP, following on from bittersweet, which was released last month.

Speaking about the new song, Edwards says, raincheck is a love song with a hint of angst about my own mistakes and being stuck in a day job that I hated.”
