downcast release new music video for ‘a weight that i can’t stand’

DOWNCAST have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track a weight that i can’t stand, is taken from the UK alt rock band’s upcoming debut album, i saw hell when i was with you, which is scheduled to be released in March this year.

Speaking about the new song and its accompanying music video, frontman Liam Edwards says, “this is one of the poppier songs on the record. We loved the idea of doing a video with a dark theme for it and creating an interesting contrast between the sound and the visuals. The song itself, with the benefit of hindsight, reflects on a bad situation in my life. It describes my realisation of what someone’s true intentions were and their actions being calculated, as well as the feeling of having wasted time and the process of improving my mental health. I compare myself to how I was feeling at the time of writing songs prior to these events, back when we first started downcast, and how I’ve come a long way since then, despite there being some ups and downs in between.”

i saw hell when i was with you is set for release on March 4th via self-release. Pre-orders will be available soon.
