Download Festival security guard found dead at Donington Park

Police have revealed a man who was found dead at Donington Park was a security guard at Download Festival.

Leicestershire Police have confirmed that the 55-year-old man whose body was found has been formally identified.

Alan Saunderson, Liverpool, was working as part of security at last weekend’s Download festival.

Police were called to the famous track at 8am Tuesday morning following the discovery of the body, which was found by staff at the circuit.

A date is still yet to be set for the inquest, a Leicestershire Coroner’s Court spokesman has said.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police announced that they are not treating the death as suspicious.
