Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 119
Issue 119 of Distorted Sound is now available!
Well, my friends, March is here and it feels like Spring. With the warmer weather and longer days beginning, we’re now into full swing of 2025 and its been a blockbuster month here at DS. As we reflect on month three of our anniversary year, my mantra when I started Distorted Sound was to put truly exhilarating new talent front and centre. And that’s exactly how to describe FORLORN. Just before COVID struck in 2020, we Introduced this exciting UK-based band who blend crushing metal with folk-laden horror and ethereal beauty. Five years later, the band are armed with their debut album Aether and the world is not ready. Gracing our cover, this is there story.
Elsewhere, we welcome former DS cover stars, Indian folk metal sensations BLOODYWOOD back to our pages with their new record Nu Delhi, get weird and extravagant with IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, and we have new interviews with the likes of SPIRITWORLD, ALIEN WEAPONRY, JIVEBOMB, ARCH ENEMY and more! PLUS, we preview this year’s Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway – of which team DS will be on the ground covering this year’s festival. We bask in the brilliance of TRIVIUM‘s Ascendancy as the band celebrate its 20 year anniversary and we shine a light on the likes of PRAVITAS and SOMETIME IN FEBRUARY for our Introducing highlights. And so much more, enjoy!
