Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 124

Issue 124 of Distorted Sound Magazine is now available!

The nights are drawing in and as we launch this new issue of Distorted Sound, I’d like to apologise for the somewhat erratic nature of our drops and mag launches at present. Life comes at you fast, and although we’re in a period of transition, our commitment to bringing you quality bands that deserve your attention.

Enter CASTLE RAT. The New Yorkers have created a truly wonderful fantasy world rich in lore, allowing their doom-tinged heavy metal to really hammer home. They have a cult following and 2025 and seen them hit their stride. I’m delighted to welcome this special emerging talent to our cover for the first time.

Elsewhere, we have made the most of our gap between main issues to put together feature interviews from everyone like DYING WISH and PARADISE LOST through to SLOW CRUSH, ORBIT CULTURE and HALESTORM! Our Heavy Music History series takes a dive into the timeless Rust In Peace by MEGADETH, we Introduce NOT ENOUGH SPACE and BLEAK, and so much more. Enjoy!
