DRIFT. announces new album ’11 Points In Time’
DRIFT. has announced a new album!
Titled 11 Points In Time, the new album from the British-Italian producer Nathalia Bruno follows her 2020 debut full-length Symbiosis and her 2022 release The Nature Of Things and is scheduled to be released in October this year via God Unknown Records.
The album is written for and based on disappeared artist Rosi Crucci, compiled of sounds/field recordings recorded onto cassettes found in the attic of the home she last lived at, interpreted into song using some of her poetry and journal entries of what was happening in the world around her.
As opposed to DRIFT.‘s previous record Symbiosis, which she completed in solitude, this time around Bruno recruited Edgar Smith on double bass, Bobby Voltaire on drums and Max Oscarnold on guitar, keyboard, piano and bass.
Alongside the announcement of the album, DRIFT. has released a music video for its lead single The End, which was created by Steve Gullick.
Speaking about the track, Bruno comments, “There is no way out of the present impasse. Patching things up is futile; there must be a new life from the roots.”
