Eat Your Heart Out release new music video for ‘Carousel’
EAT YOUR HEART OUT have released a new music video!
The new music video, for the track Carousel, is taken from the Aussie alt-rockers’ upcoming debut album, Florescence, which is scheduled to be released in May this year.
Speaking of the track, vocalist Caitlin Henry says, “Carousel is about the constant cycle of thoughts in your head that go back and forth between doubting yourself and believing that you aren’t good enough, and then having a moment of clarity when you know you’re being irrational. A lot of it comes from the idea of “imposter syndrome” which a lot of people (especially women) experience at some point, where you can’t acknowledge your own achievements properly and believe that you are undeserving, and there’s a constant fear that it will all unravel and you’ll be exposed.”

Continuing to speak about the upcoming album, Caitlin Henry continues, “I felt like I grew up a lot in the last year, in an emotional sense, and I learned how to deal with these kind of experiences in new ways. So I wanted a title that encompassed the idea of growing up and maturing, and it took us a while to come across the word Florescence but when we did we knew straight away that it was what we were looking for. It refers to the act of flowering or blooming, and I found it really interesting that I’d never come across the word before.”
Florescence is set for release on May 17th via Fearless Records.
