Eat Your Own Head announce new EP ‘The Trawler’
EAT YOUR OWN HEAD have announced a new EP!
Titled The Trawler, the upcoming EP from the Norwich-based noise rock band is the follow-up to 2022’s Neck-Deep In The Blyth, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Drongo Records.
Laid down in sessions during Nov/Dec 2023 by producer David Vickers, mixed by Mikey Shaw, and mastered by Katie Tavini, the EP was recorded at Bomb Store Studio, nestled in the atomic bomb store and servicing facility on Thetford Heath – one of the two central stores built in the mid-1950s to coincide with the deployment by the RAF of its first operational atomic bomb, codenamed Blue Danube.
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Chest Pains. Speaking about the new song, guitarist Jordan Woolnough says, “we wanted to make something sludgy and punchy, an angular riff that feels uncomfortable but simultaneously great for head banging.”
