Fangclub announce UK and Ireland shows
FANGCLUB have announced some new shows!
The Irish band will be playing a short run of club shows across the UK and Ireland this December.
The shows follow on from the band’s headline UK tour earlier this year, and the release of their EP True Love back in June.
Tour dates are as follows:
10th London, Old Blue Last
12th Manchester, Jimmy’s
13th Glasgow, The Garage
14th Dublin, The Sound House
21st Listowel, Mike The Pies
The trio have also recently released a music video for their track High, which was shot and directed by Nathan Barlow in six hours.
Speaking about the track, frontman Steven King says, “I wrote High while on tour with THE CRIBS. I think they influenced my writing on this from a visceral stand point. It’s a little more 70s in parts. We tried to use old vintage amps, mics and pedals. Alex Loring and Tom Andrews, who produced the True Love EP, also sang with me on this track. We had vocals going through a rotary speaker which added an incredible and dreamlike theme to the song. High, in parts, is about allowing yourself to be used and drained for the greater good. It’s kind of a sarcastic take on ‘misery loves company’. We made it quite a pop song too. I don’t know why I seem to relish in that kind of hellish, happy juxtaposition.”

True Love is out now via Vertigo Records.
