FESTIVAL PREVIEW: Burn It Down Festival 2024
Since the festival’s inception in 2018, Burn It Down Festival has been bringing the heavy to the sunny coastal town of Torquay and showcasing the best up and coming talent in British rock music. Following a successful 2023, which saw the likes of ANGEL DU$T, HERIOT, BEING AS AN OCEAN, AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS and tons more descend to Torquay, 2024 is set to be no exception. Boasting another unmissable lineup stacked across Friday and Saturday, here’s what to expect from Burn It Down Festival 2024!
Those hoping for a quiet start to the festival on Friday are having no such luck. In what will be a welcome move, Burn It Down Festival has opened up the notoriously heavy Attic Stage a day early on Friday. Fans of spin kicks can rejoice, with the likes of PINTGLASS, STREET SOLDIER and CAULDRON set to decimate the 250 cap room. Expect things to get sweaty.
Over on the main stage at The Foundry, Nottingham punk duo HAGGARD CAT bring the chaos early on before an unmissable run featuring the likes of GROVE STREET bringing their thrash-tinged hardcore, rising nu metalcore stars GRAPHIC NATURE and the genre mashup wizardry of SEEYOUSPACECOWBOY. Straight off the back of a support slot for KORN, rising duo WARGASM close out the day in style at The Foundry with their brand of nu metal-tinged punk.
Elsewhere on the Apple and Parrot Stage, get down early to see symphonic tech metal newcomers VANITAS wake up the crowd with other unmissable sets, including continental noise rock hellraisers BONE FLOWER, ethereal shoegaze rockers BLANKET and post-punk rabble ENOLA GAY.
Day two on the Saturday features more unmissable sets, with CREEPER bringing their goth punk theatrics to headline The Foundry to close out the event, with metallic hardcore bruisers SPLITKNUCKLE laying waste to the Attic and LAUREN HIBBERD bringing the summer vibes to the Apple & Parrot. For fans of chainmail, OVERPOWER are sure to deliver the thrash goods over in the Attic, while Leeds metalcore stars CASKETS are set to bring the party with their highly polished anthems. For a chance to see rockstars in the making, and fresh from an opening slot for METALLICA, make sure to see UNPEOPLE bring their stadium worthy choruses from to the Apple & Parrot as they continue their romp across many of the UK’s festivals this summer supporting this year’s debut self-titled EP.
Overall it’s set to be a packed weekend at the English Riviera, so for fans of palm trees and riffs, be sure to not miss out at this year’s Burn It Down Festival!
Burn It Down Festival will take place at The Foundry, The Attic and Apple & Parrot, Torquay on August 30th-31st. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
