First Fragment announce new album ‘Gloire Eternelle’

FIRST FRAGMENT have announced a new album!

Titled Gloire Eternelle, the upcoming album from the Quebec-based technical death metal band is the long-awaited successor to 2016’s Dasein and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Unique Leader Records.

The upcoming album intends to be an ambitious conceptual album that is unmistakably FIRST FRAGMENT, yet at the same time, impossible to categorise and pigeonhole. Baroque-influenced guitar counterpoint, flamenco sections, unique slap-bass-driven swing grooves, face-ripping lead guitar work and bombastic drumming, combine with a highly aggressive dual vocal approach and lyrics soaked in abstract poetry (sung in French), to create the ultimate shred fest.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first song from the upcoming album; Pantheum.
