Fluisteraars announced for Fortress Festival 2026

Fortress Festival have announced the final band for their 2026 edition!

Dutch atmospheric black metal duo FLUISTERAARS will perform a UK exclusive show on the festival’s main stage, the Grand Hall at Scarborough Spa. Hailing from Bennekom in the Netherlands, FLUISTERAARS are known for their immersive, nature-inspired sound and hypnotic live performances.

They join a stacked line-up of international and exclusive acts, including OLD MAN’S CHILD (UK exclusive) and GALLOWBRAID (worldwide live debut) as headliners. Other highlights include DØDHEIMSGARD performing Black Medium Current in full, AKERCOCKE with a worldwide exclusive performance of Choronzon, and WHOREDOM RIFE headlining the Ocean Room stage. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS will also return to the UK for the first time in eight years.

The festival features exclusive UK sets from GROZA, MESARTHIM, MIDNIGHT ODYSSEY, DARKENED NOCTURN SLAUGHTERCULT (Ocean Room headliner), THIS GIFT IS A CURSE, and MISPYRMING, alongside debuts from OLD SORCERY, TOTENWACHE, BLACK CILICE, DARKENHÖLD, ANTRISCH, and EMYN MUIL. Dungeon synth acts ATLANTEAN SWORD and GATE MASTER will perform at the new stage, headlined by genre pioneer MORTIIS.

Further exclusives include AEON WINDS and OSSAERT with worldwide exclusive sets, A FOREST OF STARS with a special return show, and VESPERÁL performing a worldwide exclusive of their album La Mort De L’âme. Swedish legends VINTERLAND will make their UK debut and perform their cult classic Welcome My Last Chapter in full for its 30th anniversary.
