Former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul dies age 54

It is with heavy hearts that we report that former PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul has passed away.

The news broke on both PANTERA‘s and his own Facebook page where it was confirmed that the iconic drummer has sadly passed away. No cause of death has been revealed at this time and his family have requested privacy in his difficult time. The statement is as follows:

“Vincent Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul has passed away. Paul is best known for his work as the drummer in the bands PANTERA and HELLYEAH. No further details are available at this time. The family requests you please respect their privacy during this time.”

Known for his colossal and enormous drumming, Paul will be long remembered for his work with the iconic and highly influential PANTERA as well as his work in DAMAGEPLAN and HELLYEAH. He will long be remembered.
