Fortress Festival announce Old Man’s Child

Fortress Festival have announced the first band for next year’s festival!

Following a staggering event over the weekend – that saw the likes of AGALLOCH, 1349, FORTERESSE, ULCERATE and more perform – now, the first act for next year’s festival has been announced.

OLD MAN’S CHILD, the project of longtime ex-DIMMU BORGIR guitarist Galder, will headline next year’s edition of the festival in a UK exclusive performance, and their first in the UK since the 1990s. Founded in 1993 by mastermind Galder, the band quickly carved out a distinctive niche in the black metal scene. From their early demos to their full-length albums, the band’s sound evolved to incorporate rich symphonic elements, intricate melodies, and Galder‘s characteristic blend of raw aggression and atmospheric grandeur.

Fortress Festival takes place at Scarborough Spa, Scarborough from May 30th – May 31st 2026. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
