Frauds announce new album ‘Long Spoons’
FRAUDS have announced a new album!
The album, titled Long Spoons, will be the post-hardcore duos second album. The album will be released in Summer 2021 via their new home at Alcopop! Records.
To celebrate the album and signing announcement FRAUDS have released the first single and accompanying music video, for the track Copenhagen. The single is a reaction to the spread of misinformation which has led to the resurgence of public racism and fear around the world.
Commenting on the track, vocalist and drummer Chris says: “We wrote the song a couple of years ago but it’s meaning has since grown more and more relevant. Originally I wanted to write the most bonkers and funny headlines to take the piss out of the ridiculous propaganda that was so prevalent at the time. It wasn’t quite as scary as it is now.” – “The title Copenhagen came after the Danish tourist board was heavily targeting me with evocative advertisements. It was being sold to me as some kind of Scandinavian Promised Land. We haven’t been there, but in this song we dare to dream what it might be like.”
