From Ashes To New announce new album ‘Reflections’

FROM ASHES TO NEW have announced a brand new album!

Titled Reflections, the upcoming record from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania alt‑metal outfit is the follow‑up to 2023’s Blackout. The band’s fifth studio album will be released on April 17th via Better Noise Music, arriving as a rebuilt and expanded evolution of their sound after scrapping the majority of an early demo session to push themselves further into alt‑metal territory.

The album’s third single, Villain, has been released alongside an official music video. The track flips the perspective on a toxic relationship narrative, leaning into darker emotion while maintaining the band’s signature melodic intensity.

Speaking about the single, vocalist Matt Brandyberry says, Villain is a story about the magnetic pull between two people who know better, but dive in anyway. It’s the moment when desire outweighs consequences, when you choose the chaos you swear you shouldn’t want, and the ‘bad guy’ becomes the one voice you can’t quiet. The song leans into that dark, intoxicating tension where temptation feels like truth, danger feels like comfort, and the line between thrill and destruction disappears. It’s not about saving each other…it’s about surrendering to the part of yourself you pretend doesn’t exist.”
