From The Bogs Of Aughiska announce new live album ‘Tactical Magic (Live at Róisín Dubh – Gaillimh 2019)’
FROM THE BOGS OF AUGHISKA have announced their debut live album!
Titled Tactical Magic (Live at Róisín Dubh – Gaillimh 2019), the upcoming album from the Irish black metal alchemists is their debut live album and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via Apocalyptic Witchcraft. The release of the new live offering follows on from the release of their last full-length album, 2018’s Mineral Bearing Veins.
The upcoming live album was recorded last year at Galway’s infamous Róisín Dubh venue during the TULCA Festival of Visual Arts. Speaking about the new live album, the band says, “on November 13th 2019 we were invited to perform as part of Galway’s TULCA Festival of Visual Arts. Little did we know that this set would end up being our last gig for the foreseeable future due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic putting the entire live music scene in Ireland and beyond on hold. Now, we welcome you to re-experience last year’s live gig in all its raw glory.”
TULCA Festival of Visual Arts curator Kerry Guinan adds, “witnesses to the band’s live performance at TULCA Festival of Visual Arts 2019 will testify that FROM THE BOGS OF AUGHISKA cleansing ritual is not painless. FTBOA enact magic at its most avant-garde, through an ideal amalgamation of content and form that can purify, trouble, and even transform its most attentive listeners.”
