Future Static announce debut album ‘Liminality’

FUTURE STATIC have announced their debut album!

Titled Liminality, the upcoming album from the Melbourne-based alternative heavy outfit is their debut full-length record and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via Wild Thing Records.

The upcoming debut album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Christopher Vernon [WINDWAKER, THE BEAUTIFUL MONUMENT]. Artwork was helmed by guitarist Jack Smith, with Liminality portraying the space between materialising and deteriorating in serene nothingness.

Speaking about the upcoming debut album, vocalist Amariah Cook says, “we’re so proud to finally release our first full-length album, which we’ve been tirelessly working on and teasing to crowds for the past two years. Everything about this album came from the heart and soul of the band. The best way to describe it? It is the physical representation of friendship, teamwork, and our unconditional love for music.” 

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming debut; Roach Queen. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming debut, following on from Venenosa and Waves.

“Roach Queen talks about a traumatic experience I had as a child in the first apartment my family and I lived in when we moved to Barcelona,” Amariah recalls. “The place was infested by cockroaches, and for a long while, I was having nightmares where they would climb into my mouth while I slept, possibly causing a more severe illness to materialise at the time.”
