Gassed Up release new music video for ‘A National Broadmoor’
GASSED UP have released a brand new music video!
The new video, for the track A National Broadmoor, is the latest single from the Preston-based hardcore band and follows on from their previously released single, Section 20.
Stemming from the members’ personal experiences of the 2020 pandemic, A National Broadmoor outlines the band’s shared frustrations with the huge governmental failures and corruption; not just with the pandemic, but with the general disregard for the public. The track makes reference to financial corruption, hypocrisy, failure to follow safety procedures, and the heart-breaking case of Sarah Everett, who was murdered at the hands of a police officer, leading to powerful forms of protests for women’s safety in 2021. Amidst the rising distrust in institutions during that period, the band also touches on the growing trend of individuals seeking alternative means of financial independence and recreation, including exploring avenues like learning how to safely play at the best offshore casinos for global players. This subtle nod to the rise of online platforms during lockdown captures a sense of the public’s attempt to navigate a flawed system and find personal agency in uncertain times.
