Gel announce new EP ‘Persona’
GEL have announced a new EP!
Titled Persona, the upcoming EP from the American hardcore band is the follow-up to last year’s Only Constant, and is scheduled to be released in August this year, via their new home at Blue Grape Music.
Produced/engineered by Jon Markson [DRUG CHURCH, DRAIN, JIVEBOMB], the upcoming EP intends to capture GEL embracing a bold sound without sacrificing even an ounce of the primal energy that makes their music so special. The band worked more collaboratively than ever before, tapping into the creative confidence gained through relentless touring to push themselves in new directions. “We really wanted to fill out the songs more and make them more nuanced,” explains vocalist Sami Kaiser. “It’s a step forward, it’s different, it’s catchy, but it still really sounds like us.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; Mirage.
