Ghost announce new album ‘Impera’
GHOST have announced a new album!
Titled Impera, the upcoming album from the Swedish theatrical rock band is the follow-up to 2018’s Prequelle and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via Loma Vista Recordings. The release of the new comes ahead of the band’s headlining tour across mainland Europe and the UK, which kicks off in April.
The upcoming album was produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace and the upcoming album sees the band transported hundreds of years forward from the 14th century Europe Black Plague-era of Prequelle. The result intends to be the most ambitious and lyrically incisive entry in the band’s canon. Over the course of the album’s 12-song cycle, empires rise and fall, would-be messiahs ply their hype (financial and spiritual alike), prophecies are foretold as the skies fill with celestial bodies divine and man-made.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Call Me Little Sunshine. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Hunter’s Moon, which was released back in October last year.
