Gigi Gold releases new music video for ‘Hot Coals’
GIGI GOLD has released a new music video!
The new music video, for the track Hot Coals, is taken from the American alternative-folk artist’s upcoming debut EP, Souvenirs, which is out now, via Marshall Records.
Speaking about the new song, the artist says, “Hot Coals is a song about realising you are your own worst enemy and ultimately the cause of your own pain. It is an uncomfortable reflection on self-loathing, self-destruction, and the critical moment when you decide whether to remain the same or transform into something different. The inspiration came from the phrase ‘holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”

Continuing to speak about the release of her debut EP, she adds, “this EP has been such a long time coming for me. Some songs were tucked away in voice note ideas for years, so I’m beyond excited to release them into the world. It really takes you on a journey and gives an idea of what else is to come. I worked with the most amazing songwriters, musicians, engineers, and artists on this EP, and I’m so grateful to every person who helped make it happen.”
Souvenirs is set for release on July 17th via Marshall Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
