Green Lung announce new album ‘Black Harvest’
GREEN LUNG have announced a new album!
Titled Black Harvest, the upcoming album from the South London-based heavy rock quintet is the follow-up to 2019’s excellent Woodland Rites, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Svart Records.
The upcoming album was recorded at Giant Wafer Studios in rural mid-Wales over the course of two weeks with longtime producer Wayne Adams [PETBRICK, BIG LAD], before being mastered by John Davis at Metropolis [LED ZEPPELING, ROYAL BLOOD]. The album intends to be a more expansive and textured record than anything the band have done before, boasting a cinematic quality and more attention to detail.
Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist Tom Templar says, “after reissuing Woodland Rites we were beset by thee plague and the cancellation of our tour schedule. But these events gave us the chance to hide away like hermits in the middle of nowhere and create the definitive soundtrack to the folk horror film in our heads. We are grateful to all our fans for their patience, and we can’t wait to finally bring these songs to life onstage later this year.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first song to be lifted from the upcoming album; Leaders Of The Blind. The new song was first premiered via Decibel Magazine.

And that’s not all from the GREEN LUNG camp! The band have confirmed a short of run of headlining UK tour dates in September this year to support their upcoming new album. The band will also perform at this year’s Bloodstock Festival, Damnation Festival and next year’s Desertfest.
