Grumpster announce new album ‘Fever Dream’
GRUMPSTER have announced a new album!
Titled Fever Dream, the upcoming album from the Californian garage punk band is the follow-up to 2019’s Underwhelmed, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Pure Noise Records.
The upcoming album was produced by Chris #2 of ANTI-FLAG, at District Recording in San Jose, the upcoming album intends to filter the ghosts of the East Bay’s melodic punk history through Grumpster’s signature garage rock sound.
Speaking about the upcoming album, bassist/vocalist Falyn Walsh says, “we waited and waited to tour Underwhelmed, but things never stopped looking pretty bleak. We ended up doing a live stream with ANTI-FLAG during the pandemic where Chris #2 told us, ‘Write some new songs and let me produce them!’ We thought, ‘Oh, god, I guess we have to make a new record now.’”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track Fever Dream. The new single is the third song to be released from the upcoming album; following on from Looking Good and Crash. Speaking about the new song, the band says, “Fever Dream is about being delusional. Going through every day pretending you’re somewhere you’re not, doing anything other than what you’re presently doing. Being in a haze most of the time and not being able to snap out of it.”
