Guns N’ Roses play surprise LA gig & announce US tour
GUNS N’ ROSES have played their first reunion show and announced a US tour!
The newly-reunited lineup of GUNS N’ ROSES played their first show last night, in a secretive performance at the Troubadour in Hollywood – the venue where the band originally found fame in the 1980s.
Original members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan were joined by guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer for the show, which was seen by around 400 fans, who paid just $10 per ticket following several teases via the band’s social media.
The show featured a mix of songs taken from the band’s entire career thus far – most notably performances of Chinese Democracy and Better, performed with Slash on lead guitar for the first time ever. The band also aired several covers, including a performance of New Rose by THE DAMNED, in which McKagan performed lead vocals.
