Halflives release new music video for ‘Immortals’

HALFLIVES have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Immortals, is the brand new single from the French melodic rock band and follows on from their previous single, perfectly broken, which was released back in November. The release of the new single comes ahead of the band’s headlining European and UK tour which kicks off in April.

Speaking about the new single, band mastermind Linda Battilani shares, Immortals is a call for the minorities, the marginalized, the nonconfirmists and the rejected. It’s about defiance, resilience, and self-love. As a lesbian, I’ve experienced what it’s like to be part of a minority. Even being a musician can feel like that – society often doesn’t value art or understand what we do unless it fits into a conventional mold. It’s still not consistently considered ‘a real job’ and a valuable contribution to write and play music for a living.

In the music video, there are two girls who want to kiss, but they’re held back by the masses. It’s a literal representation of the song: no matter how much the world tries to suppress us, our existence is undeniable – an unstoppable force. Even if they ‘burn us’ and try to erase us, we’ll only become louder, more visible, and more real. Their efforts to silence us will only amplify our presence.”
