Hanry announce debut album ‘What Came From Silence’

HANRY have announced their debut album!

The French post‑rock collective, have announced their debut album What Came From Silence. Set for release on May 29th via Pelagic Records, the eight‑track record was written during a long winter in Brittany and captures the band’s blend of atmospheric restraint, shifting textures, and controlled crescendos. Clean tones, ambient passages, and widescreen surges form the backbone of a debut shaped by contrast and tension.

What Came From Silence was composed by core members Anthony Leliard, Marc Mifune, and Jean‑Anaël Aubaux (J.A) before being developed with the full band. Recorded and mixed at DiscoCasino Studio, the album was mastered by Chab at Chab Mastering. Closing track Phantom Rush features pianist MARIPOSA. Artwork is by French artist Aloïs Lecerf.

Alongside the announcement, the band have released the album’s first single, Aurora. Speaking about the track, the band says,Aurora is our first single from the album and the spark that ignited the band’s story. Originally composed around ten years ago by Anthony Leliard, the track was later reshaped and arranged collectively for our debut album What Came From Silence. Dark and tense, Aurora moves through contrasting periods, from heavy, shadowed moments to brighter, more radiant passages. The piece builds and recedes in hypnotic waves before culminating in a massive, liberating explosion that carries the listener toward new horizons.”
