Happy. release new song ‘Don’t Overdose and Drive’
HAPPY. have released a brand new song!
The song, titled Don’t Overdose and Drive, was recorded, produced and engineered by Will Pugh (CARTEL) and was mastered by Cameron Boucher (SORORITY NOISE). Speaking about the track, vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tate Logan says, “Don’t Overdose and Drive is about a very good friend of mine, who I had grown up with my entire life. This individual become involved in drugs to a point where I found myself unable to be around this person and having to distance myself from their lifestyle to preserve my own. It was very sad because I cared so much for them and did everything I could to help, but it comes to a certain point where that person has to decide for themselves to get better. I wrote the song from an “I” perspective to be more relatable and reach a wider audience. At the end of the day, the message of the song is no matter how low you get, and how toxic the situation is, you can always get yourself out and come out on top”.
