Harbinger announce new EP ‘A Letter To Anguish’

HARBINGER have announced a new EP!

Titled A Letter To Anguish, the upcoming EP from the UK technical deathcore band is the follow-up to 2019’s Compelled To Suffer, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via self-release.

Speaking about the upcoming EP, guitarist Ben Sutherland says, “we are so happy to finally be able to unleash a collection of songs that we have been working on for such a long time. When we first started writing music with our new vocalist Dilan, we didn’t know what sounds were going to come out – we have always experimented with different styles in our music and this was the chance for us to cover some new ground together.

All six tracks have different vibes and different approaches to the HARBINGER sound. But our new single Guile is perhaps the most representative of an evolution from the sounds of our last album Compelled To Suffer. We wanted to keep it fast paced and aggressive, but with catchy moments that could turn into singalongs as they become more recognised. We wanted to make a record that would really come alive when we played the songs live. We got to explore areas that we had only hinted at before – songs like Guiltless and A Letter To Anguish gave us a chance to approach a more epic and melodic sound, more akin to The Red Flower from Compelled To Suffer. We can’t wait to see how these songs go down live!”

Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming record; Guile. The new music video is the third single to be released from the upcoming EP, following on from Guiltless and Hate File.
