Havelocke release new music video for ‘Vampire Eyes’
HAVELOCKE have released a new music video!
The new music video, for the track Vampire Eyes, is the brand new single from the punk/emo band and follows on from their 2020 single Drowning, which was released in April last year.
The new single was produced by Neil Kennedy of Ranch Production House Studios and the accompanying music video was created by Aaran Mackenzie Films. The release of the single also marks a new chapter for the band as they sign with Silent Cult.
With lyrics such as “Can you remember what the world looks like? ‘Cos I can’t, and I don’t want to”, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the song is an ode to the world changed by COVID-19. However, vocalist Owen Cousins clarifies that these lyrics are merely a coincidence. “I actually wrote this song before anyone had even heard of COVID-19; I really wasn’t ready for it to become quite so relevant. Vampire Eyes is about isolating yourself from the real world and getting so used to being inside your home, that when you eventually step outside, it’s a real shock to the system, whether that is for better or worse.”
