Havukruunu release new song ‘Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo’

HAVUKRUUNU have released a new song!

The new song, titled Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo, is taken from the Finnish black metal band’s upcoming new album, Tavastland, which is scheduled to be released in February this year, via Svart Records.

Speaking about the new song, the band shares, Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo (The Coniferous Crown and the Wintershadow) is following you on the path of fierce and traditional HAVUKRUUNU, but the path is darkening unto the steps of woodland ghosts and horrible nightmares… Talvenvarjo is a grisly reminder of all you want to forget and all you refuse to believe. Welcome to the eye of ferocious wintry winds and don’t let the shadows catch you.”

Listen to Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo here:

Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist/guitarist Stefan says, Tavastland tells how in 1237 the Tavastians rose in a rebellion against the church of Christ and drove the popes naked into the frost to die. Tavastland reveals our fathers’ centuries old sins and lies of consolation. Tavastland speaks of him, who has become a prisoner of his home, alienated from the land of the forest and is now afraid of the dark with all lights on, surrounded by his smart devices. Tavastland tells about the freedom we lost. Tavastland haunts its listener to the grave, and I will personally open that grave one bleak night and steal the fading light of your sempiternal soul.”

Tavastland is set for release on February 28th via Svart Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
