Heavy Lungs announce debut album ‘All Gas No Brakes’
HEAVY LUNGS have announced their debut album!
Titled All Gas No Brakes, the upcoming album from the Bristol-based noise punk band is their debut full-length album and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Alcopop! Records.
Speaking about the upcoming debut album, the band says, “well, well, well… they said it couldn’t be done, but look what just kicked you in the ass. Our debut album is coming out. It’s a dancer and it’s a prancer, and hopefully it’s a life enhancer. We recorded it way back in 2021 with head wizard, Wiz, and his jester Stan for some extra magic and spice, and it’s been a long old wait, but only another three months and it’s yours!”
Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track All Gas No Brakes. Speaking about the new song, vocalist Danny Nedelko says, “this high-octane, dance floor firecracker is all about giving it absolute beans. It’s about knowing you are the big cheese. You’re the main course.”
The official video was directed by good friends Holding Hands With Horses. “It’s a ‘70s B-movie, Paul Thomas Anderson-inspired depiction of a roller disco gone full Twin Peaks,” says the band of the visuals. “You are seriously in for a wild ride. 69% on Rotten Potatoes. The rewatchability of this one is off the scale. Let’s goooooo.”
