Hemina release new music video for ‘What’s The Catch?’
HEMINA have released a new music video!
The new music video, for the track What’s The Catch?, is taken from the Aussie proggers’ upcoming new album Night Echoes which is scheduled to be released later this month.
“Listening to What’s the Catch? in its finished state is really emotional for me now,” comments band vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Douglas Skene. “I am proud of its directness, as it’s something not always seen in prog music. Stemming from the early 70s in what was largely an insular English movement, there wasn’t a lot of room for outpourings of affection over complicated chords and time changes. I am glad that with What’s The Catch?, we have been able to capture such a powerful emotional state that we, as humans, have all felt.”

Tugging at more modern threads of inspiration, Skene continues, “I remember listening to a lot of J Rock and a tonne of ENTER SHIKARI and BRING ME THE HORIZON in the last couple of years. I was always enchanted and taken aback by their ability to connect these basic states of intimacy set to beautiful musical textures that could connect with everyone. There’s a fair bit going on in What’s The Catch? and it’s quite progressive in ways, but at the core of it lies something that I hope everyone can relate to.”
Night Echoes is set for release on August 9th via self-release.
