Ihsahn announce new album ‘Àmr’

IHSAHN has announced a brand new album!

The upcoming album, titled Àmr, is the latest solo effort from the Norwegian and is scheduled to be released in May this year! The upcoming album was recorded at his own Mnemosyne Studio, except for drum recordings which were done at Sonic Attic Studios. Mixing was handled by Fascination Street Studios from Linus Corneliusson and mastering was once again done by Jens Bogren.

Alongside the announcement of the upcoming album, the first track, titled Arcana Imperii, has been released and features a guitar solo from OPETH‘s Fredrik Åkesson whilst the accompanying video was created by Richard Oakes of Dark Fable Media. Speaking about the track and video, IHSAHN says, “as with previous albums, I’ve tried to maintain a certain diversity throughout Àmr, with every track having a somewhat individual identity. So, as a first introduction, I felt Arcana Imperii contained several key elements from the whole album and was a logical choice as first single and video.”
