Inklings announce new EP ‘Is This Who You Are?’
INKLINGS have announced a new EP!
Titled Is This Who You Are?, the upcoming EP from the former FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS frontman is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Marshall Records.
Speaking about the new EP, the band says, “INKLINGS has always been a cathartic outlet. The first EP was about putting myself back together after the divorce that was FVK… and this one is about wrestling with the fallout from that. It’s got a positive edge to it though. Even if the songs are super emo.”
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released the first song from the upcoming release; Sertraline. Speaking about the new song, the band says, “I wrote this song about my ‘love affair’ with Sertraline, which is an anti-anxiety drug. In 2017 I burned myself out and the result was GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder). It basically meant that my body started producing too many stress hormones and everything went haywire, after coming to terms with the fact that I wasn’t imminently dying doctors prescribed me Sertraline. It made me better and now a few years on this song was almost a goodbye to it.”
