LIVE REVIEW: Nekrogoblikon @ The Cathouse, Glasgow
The Cathouse in Glasgow played host to a night of pure metal mayhem, featuring three diverse and electrifying bands that left the audience in awe. From the hardcore thrash of CAGE FIGHT to the melodic death/folk metal fusion of ÆTHER REALM and the goblin-infused melodic death metal of NEKROGOBLIKON, this concert had something for every metalhead’s taste.
The night kicked off with CAGE FIGHT, a hardcore meets thrash meets crossover band that brought an explosive energy to the stage. The band delivered thunderous vocals, chugging guitars, and relentless drums that got the crowd warmed up from the get-go. The mosh pit erupted as the band’s big bouncing energy engulfed the venue, setting the stage for the night ahead.

Hailing from Grenville, North Carolina, ÆTHER REALM took the audience on a journey through melodic death metal and folk metal with themes of fantasy and mythology. They wasted no time in firing up the crowd, showcasing shredding solos and delivering a positive message about mental health that resonated with this reviewer. The whole room was swept up in a head banging frenzy. Their set featured a mix of soaring melodic atmosphere, sweeping guitar solos, and a memorable appearance by NEKROGOBLIKON‘s keyboardist Aaron ‘Raptor’ Minich . The night reached its peak with the epic The Sun, The Moon, The Star, leaving the audience craving for more.

NEKROGOBLIKON‘s music featured soaring melodic anthems and impressive keyboard solos that added depth to their performance as they continued to support latest album The Fundamental Slimes And Humours. The crowd’s massive reaction was met with great enthusiasm from the band, creating an electric atmosphere. The concert reached another high point with the famous Glasgow “HWFG” chant and the band seamlessly incorporating it into their set. The evening was an unforgettable journey through goblin-infused metal, culminating in a massive call for “one more choon!” from the audience.
