Lurk announce debut album ‘Around The Sun’
LURK have announced their debut album!
Titled Around The Sun, the upcoming album from the Chicago-based punk band is their debut full-length record and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Pure Noise Records.
Recorded by Andy Nelson [JESUS PEICE, HARMS WAY, WEEKEND NACHOS], the upcoming album intends to blend the band’s influences into something distinctive and refreshingly uninhibited. “We wanted to do something that was sort of RAMONES meets DEVO meets B52S meets THE CRAMPS,” explains vocalist Kevin Kiley. “A lot of those older bands could be pretty out-there, and punk can still be out-there if you want it to be.”
Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming record; Crack A Smile. The new song is the second song to be lifted from the upcoming record, following on Pressure Points, which was released in July last year.
