Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard release new song ‘Yn Ol I Annwn’

MAMMOTH WEED WIZARD BASTARD have released a new song!

The new song, titled Yn Ol I Annwn, Welsh for Return To The Underworld, is the title-track from the band’s upcoming new album which is scheduled to be released in March.

Speaking about the song, guitarist Paul Michael Davies says, “as its the title track I wanted to write something big and kinda anthemic. We thought let’s do an FM Rock song about being dead and stuck in the Underworld. I can’t think of many other pop rock sounds about being dead.. well apart from Don’t Pay The Ferryman by Chris Dr Burgh. This album reflects our influences more than ever. It may divide people but we’ve always kinda kicked against the typical doom tropes. We love down tuned heavy music but the doom scene can be a bit formulaic. If some doom fans are put off by the name, or think they are gonna get generic doom, then are disappointed, then that’s fine by us. We don’t wanna be big rock stars. We just wanna do right by the real fans that have supported us from the start…”
