Mastodon announce new album ‘Hushed And Grim’
MASTODON have announced a new album!
Titled Hushed And Grim, the upcoming album from the band is their ninth full-length record (the follow-up to 2017’s Emperor Of Sand) and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Reprise Records.
For the upcoming album, the group recorded in their hometown, collaborating with producer David Bottrill [TOOL, RUSH, MUSE, PETER GABRIEL] behind the board. Intending to be their most ambitious body of work to date, it consists of 15 tracks, surveying sonic landscapes of rock, psychedelia, punk, metal, alternative, and prog. For the album’s striking artwork, the band have drafted in revered artist Paul Romano [Remission, Leviathan, Call of the Mastodon, Blood Mountain, Crack The Skye].
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song lifted from the upcoming album; Pushing The Tides.
