Matrass release new music video for ‘Cathedrals’
MATRASS have released a new music video!
The new music video is for the title track of the French post-metal five-piece’s debut album Cathedrals, which was released in May this year to critical acclaim. The video was directed by the video artists from the Bout À Bout collective.
Speaking about the track, vocalist Clémentine Browne comments, “This track evokes memories of traumatic episodes buried in the subconscious. Things that come back to us late in life and that we can come face to face with again. “Looking inside the cathedral” means observing and confronting your memories. We’ve tried to bring out this understanding in the video, with these little typed phrases that symbolize this confrontation. It’s not necessarily a question of reliving these emotions, but of identifying those attached to these memories and modifying or even reclaiming the general feeling.”
