Metal Allegiance release date and guests revealed

LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX, MEGADETH and PANTERA members have come together for mammoth album, which has been confirmed for release September 18^th.

Alex Skolnick of TESTAMENT, David Ellefson of MEGADETH and Mike Portnoy of DREAM THEATRE came together back in 2011 for a project masterminded by Mark Menghi. Now, the guys are back together, with a huge plethora of musicians including Randy Blythe, Philip H. Anselmo, Cristina Scabba and Charlie Benante. METAL ALLEGIANCE, as the project is known, assures that the self-titled album will be something to be “played loud”.

Randy Blythe, frontman of LAMB OF GOD also commented: “When LAMB OF GOD asked Alex Skolnick to rip a guest solo on Ashes Of The Wake it was a big deal to have one of the legends of our scene play on our records… Years later, he returned the request and it’s an even bigger deal to me to be asked on a peer level to contribute to a project with so many stellar players.”

With a huge line up of guest appearances over the whole album, the new album is sure to be a great record. Portnoy says, “I could not be any more excited or proud of the METAL ALLEGIANCE album… it’s everything I’ve always dreamed of and hoped for and 100 times more!”
