Mimi Barks announces new mixtape ‘DEADGIRL’
MIMI BARKS has announced a new mixtape!
Titled DEADGIRL, the upcoming mixtape from the London-based trap metal artist is her brand new record and is scheduled to be released in December this year, via Silent Cult Records.
Alongside the announcement of the new mixtape, Barks has released a new song from the upcoming record; nihil. The new single follows on from the release of DEADGIRL and RAD, both of which will appear on the upcoming mixtape.
Speaking about the new song, Barks says, “nihil is the first track I wrote after having my entire music collection and visuals wiped off all DSP’s including YouTube in 2020. And just when I entered the void, thinking this is it, my brother KOEN sent this beat, which lead me to writing the first song for what would later become the DEADGIRL Mixtape. I needed to move forward from this, and nihil be my reboot in a paradoxical way. There lies great power in resistance.”
